Two corporate plaintiffs who sought business-interruption damages in a negligence lawsuit over a truck accident lost Wednesday when Florida's Fourth District Court of Appeal found they couldn't collect for time spent dealing with the aftermath of the crash.
It's a case that illuminates the limits of business interruption claims, as the appellate panel found the post-crash activities were "not an obvious consequence of the accident, or reasonably foreseeable."
