After nearly 20 years, a Coral Gables attorney has been authorized to take the final steps to prevail on behalf of tens of thousands of Miami-Dade County homeowners who lost their healthy citrus trees in a controversial program aimed at protecting Florida agriculture.

Bobby Gilbert, a partner at Kopelowitz Ostrow Ferguson Weiselberg Gilbert, will now return to Miami-Dade Circuit Court, where a jury will determine how much to award homeowners for the lost trees.
