The Schlesinger Law Offices secured verdicts totaling nearly $255 million in 2019, led by the largest Engle progeny tobacco verdict in five years at %157 million.
The trial in the death of Ed Caprio generated two firsts: the first time a tobacco jury considered awarding damages to a same-sex spouse and the first time e-cigarettes came into a smoker's trial.
