An alleged whistleblower has filed a complaint against First Baptist Church of Fort Lauderdale in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida in a suit that lawyers say expose risks associated with non-profits.

Daymarie Melendez, a former accounting manager for First Baptist, alleged in the complaint that she made reports to management about accounting irregularities, violations of employment laws, sexual harassment of female cleaning staff, and misdirection of donor money.
