The pandemic and associated economic downturn didn’t derail Akerman from its revenue-growth trajectory. On Wednesday, the 700-lawyer Am Law 100 firm announced its 10th consecutive year of record profits.

After ending its fiscal year on Oct. 31, the Miami-based firm reported gross revenue of $467.4 million, which it characterizes as a 6.5% increase in gross revenue compared with 2019. The firm differentiates this number, gross revenue, from fee revenue, which it reports to ALM annually. The firm’s 2019 fee revenue was $436.1 million, according to data from ALM Intelligence.
