The Florida Supreme Court suspended business attorney Charles Paul-Thomas Phoenix for two years over his role in a more than $300 million Ponzi scheme.
And Jan L. Jacobowitz, the former director of the professional responsibility and ethics program at the University of Miami School of Law in Coral Gables, said the case illustrated the distinction between criminal proceedings and those of The Florida Bar.
