A Homestead hotel agreed to pay $300,000 to a guest who fractured a knee as a result of a fall. The payment settled a lawsuit filed by Paula Terry.

While traversing one of the Floridian Hotel’s exterior walkways on May 18, 2019, Terry slipped in a puddle and fell. She broke a knee and required surgery. Terry claimed that the puddle was a result of condensation having leaked off of a wall-mounted air-conditioning unit. She also claimed that she suffers ongoing pain and may require knee-replacement surgery.
