A West Palm Beach attorney hit Vero Beach and several members of its law enforcement department with a federal class-action lawsuit in which the lawyer said he is seeking millions of dollars in damages.

Gerald F. Richman, a partner at Fisher, Potter & Hodas in West Palm Beach, filed the class action on behalf of Keith Taig and others who claimed to be victims of unlawful recording by the Vero Beach Police Department in a prostitution sting. He said the case is a reminder to critically review police files.
