Ethics charges have been trimmed in the case of Leon County, Florida, Circuit Judge Barbara Hobbs, accused of pretending to be her son’s lawyer after his arrest.

Charges of signing her judicial assistant’s falsified time sheets have been dropped in the case, in which the Judicial Qualifications Commission says the judge lied to investigators after they said only her son’s attorney could see him in jail and participate in his interrogation.
