A jury awarded more than $520,000 to a man who claimed that he was injured in a motor-vehicle accident in St. Petersburg.

On March 11, 2017, plaintiff William Tomlinson, 53, a business’s owner, was driving on 34th Street South, near its intersection at 38th Avenue South, in St. Petersburg. When Tomlinson reached the intersection, he stopped at a red traffic signal. A trailing uninsured motorist attempted to stop behind Tomlinson’s pickup truck but instead swiped the left side of the pickup truck. Tomlinson claimed that he suffered injuries of his back, his neck and a shoulder.
