More than two decades ago, while practicing law in Jacksonville, Robert Lasky got a call from a University of Miami School of Law friend Gene Kissane. Alongside his partner, Richard Cole, Kissane was starting a law firm. If Lasky wanted to go to Miami, he'd be the firm's first hire.
