The Florida Supreme Court has approved an advisory opinion to allow an out-of-state attorney to work remotely from his Florida home.
But the approval comes with several strict conditions.
While the advisory opinion is narrow in scope, it represents a positive step forward in expanding the practice of law in the digital age, said Jan l. Jacobowitz, co-chair of the Future of Lawyering Committee for the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers.
