Growing up in a family of physicians and scientists, Jill Mendelsohn, a partner at Hinshaw & Culbertson in Fort Lauderdale, had the best of both worlds. While being smart in math and science, Mendelsohn’s parents knew she would be destined to be an attorney.

Mendelsohn would use her voice to advocate for others and herself when she felt there was wrongdoing. Growing up she always had a natural knack for defending the underdogs or mistreated individuals. Throughout her educational years, her peers would point out Mendelsohn’s ability to be persuasive and to think quickly.
