A jury awarded more than $200,000 to a woman who claimed that she was injured in an automobile accident in Homestead, but it found that her injuries did not merit the seven-figure payout her attorneys suggested.

On Dec. 19, 2016, plaintiff Johanna Serna Correa, 36, was driving on Krome Avenue, in Homestead. While she was stopped in a roadwork zone, her car’s rear end was struck by a trailing car that was being driven by Imran Farid. Correa claimed that she suffered injuries of her back and neck.
