The American Bar Association indicated Tuesday that it is not backing down in its disagreement with the Florida Supreme Court—an issue that experts say could affect attorneys in multiple states.

Patricia Lee Refo, the president of the ABA and a partner at Snell & Wilmer in Phoenix, reaffirmed her ultimatum that no licensed attorney can receive continuing legal education credit in the Sunshine State for an ABA program, unless the Florida Supreme Court revised its April ruling.
