A jury awarded more than $4 million to a man who claimed that he suffered disabling injuries in an auto accident in Kissimmee.

On Oct. 1, 2015, plaintiff Jose Cardona, a 44-year-old unemployed man, was a front-seat passenger of a sport utility vehicle that was traveling on Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, near its intersection at Simpson Road, in Kissimmee. When the SUV’s driver reached the intersection, she stopped at a red traffic signal. Before she could resume travel, her SUV’s rear end was struck by a trailing car that was being driven by Thomas Cline. The SUV resultantly spun some 180 degrees. Cardona claimed that he suffered injuries of his back and neck.
