Corporate counsel said one of the challenges in representing ADT Inc. is that a litigation bulls’ eye is always on the security company’s back.

As a result, ADT’s chief legal officer, David Smail, and its chief counsel for privacy, IP and corporate sourcing, Frank Cona, said they constantly have their eyes going in multiple directions to steer the Boca Raton, Florida-based company against an active plaintiff’s bar.
