In Florida, Greenberg Traurig has added 10 shareholders and of counsels since January 2020. For a firm that prefers to promote shareholders internally, the lateral hires indicate that Greenberg Traurig’s investment in South Florida is growing as quickly as any other U.S. region, said CEO Brian Duffy.

“Traditionally, in Miami, there has been organic growth from associate to shareholder and senior shareholder, but there’s definitely been an uptick in laterals,” Duffy said in an interview. “I think that’s a function of our clients, business opportunities expanding in South Florida, and the continuation of a trend of people moving South.”
