John C. German and Andrew G. Simon of Cole, Scott & Kissane have stepped in to represent the Opera Tower Condominium Association Inc. and its officers in a pending class action over short-term unit rentals. The suit was filed June 21 in Florida Southern District Court by Romano Law Group and Varnell & Warwick on behalf of a group of owners who accuse the defendants of violating a Miami-Dade County ordinance by permitting rentals of fewer than 31 days. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge K. Michael Moore, is 1:21-cv-22263, Dispoto v. Opera Tower LLC et al.
