Counsel at the Miami-Dade County Attorney's Office on Monday removed a civil rights lawsuit against Miami-Dade County and other defendants to Florida Southern District Court. The complaint was filed by Quantum Law and Simmons, Finney, Solomon & Winfield on behalf of a married couple who claim they were subjected to excessive force during a traffic stop. The case is 1:21-cv-22880, Mills et al v. Miami-Dade County et al.
