A woman was awarded $500,000 for emotional suffering she endured as a result of having been arrested after a dispute with a moving company.

On Feb. 1, 2015, plaintiff Antonia Toscano was arrested. The charges included two felonies: grand theft and fraudulent cancellation of a check. In March 2013, Toscano had relocated to a new residence. During that process, she retained a moving company, Strongman Movers LLC.
