Global deal work hit yet another record this week, and it was yet another week of double-digit deals over the billion-dollar mark as well.

According to Refinitiv, global M&A value for 2021 has eclipsed the total from 2020 in under eight months, hitting the $3.6 trillion mark. That is more than double the value recorded during the same period in 2020 (+117%) and also breaking the previous year-to-date record of $2.9 trillion set in 2007.
