More than two years after President Donald Trump enabled Cuban-Americans to sue businesses that profit from property stolen by the Cuban government, the resulting litigation hasn’t been nearly as plentiful or successful as many predicted.

Only 41 lawsuits were filed from approximately 6,000 certified claims to property in Cuba. Of those, only one case has settled, while appellate courts have dismissed five cases.
