Lawyers who filed a motion for final approval in a less than $2 million class action settlement with a discount store chain have asked the presiding judge to approve more than $600,000 in attorney fees.
And according to a lawyer not involved in the litigation, the success of this settlement resulted from a state of uncertainty in class action law.
