A South Florida attorney obtained a settlement in which 52 families, including those of the 17 people killed in the 2018 Parkland shooting massacre, will share in a $25 million settlement paid by the Broward County school district.

David W. Brill, a partner at Brill & Rinaldi, The Law Firm, based in Weston, said as to the terms of the settlement reached with Broward County Public Schools, families of the 14 students and three staff members who died will receive equal compensation in an amount greater than what will be paid to each of the remaining victims.
