South Florida’s lack of land is both a threat and an opportunity for industrial developers, who are competing over 16 miles of space between the Everglades and the Atlantic Ocean that’s quickly being snapped up for residential and retail uses.

That was the key talking point at the latest Commercial Industrial Association of South Florida event and tradeshow at InterContinental at Doral Miami, where industrial professionals discussed how to get creative with land and what conditions are affecting overall supply and demand.
