Barbosa Müssnich & Aragão Advogados has lured a restructuring and insolvency partner from the Brazilian affiliate of Mayer Brown, Tauil & Chequer Advogados, as the battle for talent in Brazil continues.

The addition of Luciana Celidonio brings BMA’s partner count to 78—of whom 40% are women—and the total number of lawyers employed by the firm to nearly 300. The hire of Celidonio marks the third lateral hire for BMA this year, with the firm also having added to its tax and white-collar crime practices. In July it lost a five-lawyer tax team that jumped to Lefosse Advogados.
