Florida real estate developers have been placed on notice by a state appeals court decision that arbitration agreements will not be enforced for claims that are not directly connected to the purchase and sale of homes.
A Fourth District Court of Appeal ruling holds that the arbitration agreements will not apply if the injuries that are claimed are unconnected to the sale of the home.
