After drowning in millions of dollars of debt, a historic black church on Lincoln Boulevard is now able to pay 100% distribution to creditors and and maintain its operations.

That’s thanks to Monique Hayes of Goldstein & McClintock in Miami, one of the only Black female business bankruptcy lawyers in the state, who represented the Bethel Church of Miami Inc. She said the case is a big deal since many Black churches don’t have the money or the management to reorganize.
