Stearns Weaver Miller Weissler Alhadeff & Sitterson filed a trademark infringement and dilution lawsuit Wednesday in Florida Middle District Court on behalf of Boat Guys USA and Boat Guys of Sarasota. The complaint, targeting Shane W. Sommer and The Boat Guy, accuses the defendants of using a confusingly similar mark to the plaintiffs without authorization. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 8:21-cv-02653, Boat Guys USA, LLC et al. v. The Boat Guy, LLC et al.

The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays.
