A jury declined to award damages to a woman who broke an elbow and a wrist while attending a fashion show at a Fort Myers country club.

On March 18, 2017, plaintiff Linda Gratz, 73, a retiree, attended a fashion show that was being conducted at a banquet hall located at 16257 Willowcrest Way, in the city of Fort Myers. Gratz tripped on the base of a temporary stairway that provided access to the facility’s stage, from the area in which the audience was seated. She fell, and she claimed that she suffered injuries of her back, an elbow and a wrist.
