A Third District Court of Appeal ruling Wednesday has left a Big Law client on its last appeal to determine the fate of a cross-border dispute in which a trial court jury awarded a $26 million verdict to a Colombian doctor.

And the news was well-received by Glen Waldman and Michael Sayre, partners in Armstrong Teasdale in Miami. They were the lead attorneys representing Dr. Carlos Hakim-Daccach in the underlying case before Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Beatrice Butchko.
