A pair of West Palm Beach attorneys said they made history in a Florida county after a six-day trial in which they recovered the second-largest wrongful death jury verdict in that jurisdiction.

Brian Denney and Matthew Schwencke, partners at Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley, represented the parents of Jacob Branen, who was walking to work when he was struck and killed by a recreation vehicle owned and operated by La Mesa RV Center Inc.
