A ruling from Florida's Fourth District Court of Appeal reiterates a key principal: Substantial, competent evidence is necessary to win an award of attorney fees, even in a case where the fact pattern appeared to favor the plaintiff.
The ruling stemmed from a case in which a jury convicted the buyer in the real estate deal on criminal charges related to the derailed sale.
