Markel, a Virginia-based insurance company, and its subsidiary Evanston Insurance Company sued highway construction company Cone & Graham Inc. and Sonny Glasbrenner Inc. Wednesday in Florida Middle District Court. The suit, filed by Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, seeks a declaration that Markel has no duty to indemnify Sonny in an underlying claim. Attorneys have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 8:22-cv-00287, Evanston Insurance Company et al v. Sonny Glasbrenner, Inc et al.
