UPS was sued Monday in Florida Middle District Court over alleged employment discrimination under the ADA. The suit, filed by Morgan & Morgan; Gilbert Law and the National Association of the Deaf, accuses UPS of refusing to accept a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration hearing exemption that would allow the promotion of a deaf package handler to a driver position. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 6:22-cv-00270, Bemesderfer v. United Parcel Service, Inc.
