American Vehicle Protection Corp., Cg3 Solutions and other plaintiffs filed a countersuit against the U.S. Federal Trade Commission Tuesday in Florida Southern District Court. The case, filed by Roth Jackson Gibbons Condlin, challenges the FTC’s assertions that the plaintiffs have engaged in a scheme in which fictitious automobile warranties were sold to unsuspecting consumers.

The plaintiffs allege that the FTC’s suit is primarily based on the claims of a convicted felon. The plaintiffs also assert that they have taken proactive measures to ensure that they are in compliance with government regulations. The case is 0:22-cv-60301, Gonzalez et al v. American Vehicle Protection Corp. et al.
