The country’s third and second-largest marina operators have merged to create a company valued at $2.5 billion, with the help of attorneys at South Florida firm Bilzin Sumberg.

Suntex Marina, owned by New York private equity company Centerbridge Partners, is acquiring the third-largest marina owner Westrec Marinas for about $400 million. The merger will allow Centerbridge to own more than 50 marinas.
