A ruling from Florida’s Fourth District Court of Appeal recognizes attorneys are not allowed to double down on the charges of their litigation fees when representing more than one defendant.

For lawyers this will mean when there are multiple clients being represented by the same attorney, counsel will not be allowed to charge the co-defendants separately as if they are not involved in the same case. All co-defendants will account for the same attorney fee.
