The Florida Fourth District Court of Appeals has ruled that, because there are currently no open positions in the school district, a former vice principal who brought a whistleblower suit is entitled to "front pay" as an alternative to reinstatement.

The Florida Fourth District Court of Appeals has ruled that, because there are currently no open positions in the school district, a former vice principal who brought a whistleblower suit is entitled to "front pay" as an alternative to reinstatement.
The Palm Beach County School Board had appealed a jury verdict in favor of Gary Groover, a vice principal who alleges he was dismissed after he participated in an investigation by the School Board's Office of inspector General. Groover, meanwhile, had appealed a post-trial order which denied his request for either reinstatement or five years of front pay.
