South Florida’s industrial sector is booming, but that doesn’t mean smooth sailing. The cost of land is much more than it used to be, construction costs are increasing due to inflation and supply chain woes, rents are astronomical, and it’s all happening at a rapid rate.

Seeing it firsthand is Brian Sudduth, who’s president of Miller Construction, a commercial general contractor in Fort Lauderdale. He said rising costs are a major issue for the industry.
