An Okaloosa County judge’s difficulty in deciphering an electronically filed exhibit following a virtual trial led to a protracted appellate court battle regarding the legibility of the document.

In Ford Motor Credit Co. v. Parks, defendant Yolanda D. Parks initially made about 17 monthly payments to Ford Motor Credit Co., but then stopped, according to the First District’s opinion filed on Wednesday. Ford sued Parks, claiming she breached her 24-month car lease, totaling $7,986.45.
