A Florida appeals court unanimously granted a Tampa radio station’s petition for reconsideration of its motion to dismiss a defamation claim filed against the station and one of its employees.

Erik Mishiyev, also known as “DJ Short-E,” alleged that Orlando Davis, Beasley Media Group’s program director at its radio station WiLD 94.1, and the media company published defamatory statements between 2004 and 2020 and said Davis made untrue statements about him, according to the Florida Second District Court of Appeal’s May 11 opinion.
