A jury found that a Doral fitness club owes nothing to the mother of a boy who broke a leg in the club’s childcare facility.

On May 23, 2018, the plaintiff, a 2-year-old boy, utilized a childcare area in a fitness club that was located at 10055 NW 41st St., in Doral. His mother, plaintiff Maribel Martinez Cardenas, was exercising in the main area of the facility. The boy climbed onto, and stood upon, a plastic foam toy cheetah. One of the play area’s supervisors ordered the boy off of the toy. The boy stepped or slid off of the object, and he suffered an injury of a leg.
