What are some of the department’s most satisfying successes of 2021, and why?

Our most significant success by far was winning the $600 billion Kleiman v. Wright trial that was deemed “unwinnable” by the legal community. After four years of intense litigation, a lengthy jury trial and seven days of nerve-wracking jury deliberations, we won a jury verdict in favor of our client Dr. Craig Wright on 13 of 14 counts, avoiding what would have been one of the largest verdicts ever. The jury found that Dr. Wright, also known as Satoshi Nakamoto (the inventor of Bitcoin), was not business partners with Dave Kleiman and that Kleiman’s estate is entitled to none of the multi-billion dollar Satoshi fortune.
