Since launching its Miami office in May, Winston & Strawn has poached more local attorneys than fellow recent entrants Kirkland & Ellis and Sidley Austin, continuing its stated strategy of penetrating Miami’s insular legal market with prominent laterals.

On Wednesday, the firm announced the latest round of Miami hires. From Greenberg Traurig, Winston added commercial litigation partner Jared Kessler and transactional partner Carl Fornaris, who co-chaired the firm’s financial regulatory and compliance practice and its blockchain and digital assets group. Greenberg litigation associates Elisa Baca and Claudia Ojeda have also joined Winston & Strawn.
