The Commodity Futures Trading Commission sued Empires Consulting Corp. and other defendants Thursday in Florida Southern District Court for allegedly misappropriating millions of dollars via fraudulent commodity interest pools. The complaint accuses the defendants of engaging in a multi-level marketing scheme in order to misappropriate investor funds for their own personal gain. Attorneys have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:22-cv-21997, Commodity Futures Trading Commission v. Empires Consulting Corp. et al.
