Church & Dwight Co., household product manufacturer, was hit with a consumer class action Wednesday in Florida Southern District Court over its Batiste brand aerosol dry and volumizing shampoo spray products. The complaint, brought by Kopelowitz Ostrow Ferguson Weiselberg Gilbert, claims that the dry shampoo contains dangerously high levels of the carcinogen benzene. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:22-cv-23585, Goldgewicht v. Church & Dwight Co., Inc.
