Overall mergers and acquisitions have slowed in 2022 compared with a record increase the previous year, but even signs of an economic downturn and increased rates don’t have M&A lawyers in South Florida concerned.

Part of the reason why is because South Florida’s economic boom is expected to march onward even as the rest of the country is expected to lag. The southeast corner of Florida is continuing to see an influx of people moving in for a multitude of reasons, with leaders of technology and finance companies finding the region particularly inviting and corporations looking for a connection point to Latin America.
