Law firms can expect an influx of public-sector work opportunities to come their way as the federal government looks to invest billions in infrastructure. But those opportunities have already come to South Florida, and they’re expected to remain for a long time.

President Joe Biden’s infrastructure bill is offering $550 billion in funding to cities across the nation, offering a rising tide of work that could rise all boats within a law firm. Meanwhile, plans to extend a highway in Miami and a high-speed rail system that will eventually connect Miami to Orlando and Tampa are already in full swing with other projects already on the way.
